Is Khao San Road area safe for solo female travelers at night? Just booked a hostel nearby and want to know what to expect.

Very safe! Khao San is busy until 2-3am. Stick to the main road and you'll be fine. Avoid empty sois (alleys) late at night.

Stayed there last month. Felt totally safe. The 7-Elevens are open 24/7 if you ever need to duck in.

Great update! The new metro line to Sabaneta is a game changer. Much safer than taking taxis at night now.
